About Ethiopian Shipping and Logistics (ESL)
Ethiopian Shipping and Logistics is a major national enterprise formed through the merger of four previously independent organizations in the sea transport sector: Ethiopian Shipping Lines S.C., Ethiopian Maritime and Transit Service Enterprise, Dry Port Enterprise, and Comet Transport S.C. The merger was officially completed in August 2016, consolidating the country’s logistics and maritime services under one unified entity.
One of the founding components, Ethiopian Shipping Lines Share Company (ESL), was established on March 1, 1956 E.C. with a starting capital of 50,000 Ethiopian birr. Since then, ESL has become a vital player in Ethiopia’s import-export logistics, contributing significantly to national economic growth.

Educational Qualification:
- Level IV Certificate with COC in General Mechanics, Auto Mechanics, Machine Technology, Metal Technology, Manufacturing, or Welding/Fitting Technology
Experience:
- 0 years of work experience (post-graduation)
Age Limit:
- Must not exceed 24 years old

Position 2: Deck Boy
Educational Qualification:
- Level IV Certificate with COC in Automotive Technology, Mechanics, General Mechanics, Automotive Body Repairing and Painting Management, Furniture and Woodwork, Construction, Garment and Textile, Manufacturing, Welding/Fitting Technology, Surveying, or Plumbing/Sanitary Systems
Experience:
- 0 years of work experience
