Ethiopian Engineering Corporation (EEC) invites fresh graduates and qualified applicants to apply for Junior Engineering positions. EEC–Construction specializes in high-end complex construction projects including high-rise commercial and residential buildings, real estate developments, infrastructure projects (roads, railways, airports), and water and energy sector construction.

Position: Junior Site Engineers

(Including: Junior Planning Engineer, Junior QA/QC Engineer, Junior Procurement Engineer, Junior Risk Engineer, Junior Quantity Surveyor (QS), Junior Cost Control Engineer, Junior Electrical Engineer, Junior Sanitary Engineer, and Data Capturer)

Educational Qualification

  • BSc Degree in Civil Engineering or other related engineering fields

Work Experience & Skills

  • Fresh graduates (0 years of work experience)
  • Strong passion for on-site construction work
  • Bright, motivated candidates with the right attitude and learning potential
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer skills, especially MS Office
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow
  • Preference will be given to candidates residing in or near Jimma

Scope of the Role

The Junior Site Engineer will support on-site engineering activities in line with project scope requirements. The role ensures that all statutory, consultant, and local authority approvals are implemented on site and that contract specifications and company QA/QC policies are strictly followed. The position also involves monitoring labor performance and supporting project documentation and reporting requirements.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ensure full compliance with contract specifications and guidelines during construction, commissioning, and handover phases
  • Manage and track material submittals in accordance with consultant and project requirements
  • Maintain updated records and registers for site documentation
  • Ensure Method Statements and Risk Assessments comply with company HSE and QA/QC policies
  • Monitor testing, commissioning, warranties, spares, and compliance documentation
  • Support procurement and long-lead item schedules in coordination with line managers and project engineers
  • Track delivery dates, follow up on pending materials, and report issues affecting project timelines
  • Record and report staff and labor performance efficiency on a weekly basis
