About the Ethiopian Capital Market Authority (ECMA)
The Ethiopian Capital Market Authority (ECMA) is the regulatory body responsible for developing, supervising, and promoting Ethiopia’s capital market. As part of its mission to strengthen the country’s financial sector, ECMA is launching the Summer Camp 2026, a merit-based learning program designed for outstanding university students and recent graduates.
The two-week program combines classroom learning with practical workplace experience, giving participants valuable exposure to Ethiopia’s emerging capital market ecosystem while helping prepare them for future careers in finance, business, technology, law, and related fields.
Position: Summer Camp 2026 Program Trainee
The program includes:
- Foundational training in capital markets
- Departmental internship within ECMA
- Practical exposure to Ethiopia’s capital market ecosystem
- Mentorship from experienced professionals
- Professional development and career readiness activities
Eligibility Requirements
For University Students
Applicants must:
- Be a final-year undergraduate student
- Be studying one of the following fields or a closely related discipline:
- Accounting & Finance
- Economics
- Management
- Business Administration
- Law
- Information Technology / Computer Science
- Statistics
- Journalism & Communication
For Young Professionals
Applicants must:
- Be a 2025 or 2026 graduate
- Have no more than one year since graduation
- Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following fields or a related discipline:
- Accounting & Finance
- Economics
- Management
- Business Administration
- Law
- Information Technology / Computer Science
- Statistics
- Journalism & Communication
Academic Requirements
- Male Applicants: Minimum CGPA of 3.5
- Female Applicants: Minimum CGPA of 3.3
