EthioChicken invites qualified and experienced professionals to apply for three data and reporting positions in Addis Ababa.
Position 1: Reporting Analyst
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field such as Business, Statistics, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- 1–2 years of proven experience as a Reporting Analyst or in a similar role, with demonstrated analytical responsibilities beyond dashboard building.
- Proficiency in Python for data analysis and visualization, including tools such as:
- pandas
- numpy
- matplotlib
- plotly
- Experience developing interactive, code-based reporting tools such as Streamlit or Dash is a strong advantage.
- Working knowledge of Power BI, used selectively alongside programmatic reporting.
- Practical experience or strong interest in using LLM tools for data interpretation, insight generation, or reporting workflows.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to translate complex analysis into clear business narratives.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Location: Addis Ababa
Position 2: Senior Reporting Analyst
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field such as Business, Statistics, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- 2–4 years of proven experience as a Reporting, Data, or Business Intelligence Analyst, with demonstrated analytical responsibilities beyond dashboard building.
- Strong proficiency in Python for data analysis and visualization, including pandas, numpy, matplotlib, and plotly.
- Experience building interactive, code-based reporting tools such as Streamlit or Dash is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of statistical and analytical methods, including:
- Trend analysis
- Segmentation
- Forecasting
- Root-cause analysis
- Working knowledge of Power BI, applied selectively alongside programmatic reporting.
- Practical experience or strong interest in applying LLM tools to data interpretation, insight generation, or reporting workflows.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to translate complex analysis into clear business narratives.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, particularly when presenting analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Location: Addis Ababa
Position 3: Data and Reporting Manager
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data analytics and/or data engineering, including at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Strong proficiency in Python for data analysis and visualization, including pandas, numpy, matplotlib, and plotly.
- Experience building or overseeing interactive, code-based reporting tools such as Streamlit or Dash is strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of Power BI and other data analysis tools, used selectively alongside programmatic reporting.
- Strong experience building and maintaining data pipelines and infrastructure on Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience with technologies such as:
- Azure Data Factory
- Synapse Analytics
- Databricks
- BigQuery
- Dataflow
- Strong SQL and database management skills.
- Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools such as Azure Data Factory and dbt.
- Familiarity with data orchestration frameworks.
- Proven ability to transform complex data into actionable business insights and recommendations.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage cross-functional teams and effectively engage stakeholders.
- Familiarity with REST APIs and generative AI.
- Knowledge of Business Central ERP is an advantage.
- Relevant Azure/GCP certifications, such as Fabric Data Engineer or Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer, are advantageous.
