The company is currently inviting fresh graduates to apply for the Breeding Officer position.

Position: Breeding Officer

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BSc) in Veterinary Medicine

Experience

  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply

Key Responsibilities

Preparation and Maintenance

  • Clean and disinfect poultry houses before chick arrival
  • Prepare and arrange poultry house equipment including windows, electrical systems, feeders, drinkers, and brooders
  • Prepare litter, feed, water, and recording materials in advance
  • Inspect chicks upon arrival and weigh them
  • Separate weak chicks and provide special care

Daily Operations

  • Monitor poultry house temperature, humidity, and litter quality
  • Administer vaccination schedules as required
  • Record chick mortality, growth, and uniformity weekly
  • Maintain at least 80% chick uniformity through grading and proper management

Maintenance and Biosecurity

  • Perform routine maintenance of poultry equipment and facilities
  • Implement and improve biosecurity measures
  • Ensure eggs sent to hatcheries meet quality standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of poultry production houses

Reporting and Management

  • Maintain records for egg production, breeder performance, and mortality rates
  • Identify staff training needs and conduct coaching sessions
  • Prepare weekly egg reconciliation reports
  • Support staff evaluations and performance management

Work Location

Different EthioChicken production sites across Ethiopia
