Position 1: Youth Engagement and Community Mobilization Officer Intern
Educational Requirements
- Degree in:
- Law
- Environmental Studies
- Social Sciences
- Communications
- Other related fields
Experience
- 0–2 years of experience in areas such as:
- Community organizing
- Graphic design
- Event planning
- Volunteer coordination
- Grassroots campaigning
Age Requirement
- Applicants must be under 29 years old.
Required Skills
- Highly energetic and motivated.
- Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills.
- Ability to connect and communicate with diverse groups, including:
- Government officials
- High school students
- Frontline waste workers

Position 2: Research and Advocacy Officer Intern
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree is strictly required.
Academic Requirement
- Minimum CGPA of 3.5.

- Legal analysis
Key Responsibilities
The Research and Advocacy Officer Intern will support Eco-Justice Ethiopia’s legal and policy initiatives, including:
- Analyzing domestic and international climate frameworks.
- Drafting policy and research briefs.
- Collecting and analyzing data.
- Supporting advocacy campaigns.
- Contributing to work on the single-use plastic ban.
- Supporting circular economy initiatives.
- Contributing to advocacy concerning the rights of informal waste workers.
Age Requirement
- Applicants must be under 29 years old.
Required Skills
- Exceptional analytical skills.
- Strong writing and research abilities.
- Strong understanding of environmental justice frameworks.
- Strong understanding of human rights frameworks.
