Position: TV Host
Education and Experience
Applicants should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Broadcasting, Media Studies, Language and Literature, or a related field.
- More than 5 years of professional experience in journalism, communication, broadcasting, or a related field.
- Demonstrated on-air or public presentation experience.
- A portfolio or reel of previous work is preferred.
- Familiarity with newsroom operations, broadcast equipment, and production workflows.
- Working knowledge of media law, professional ethics, and broadcasting standards.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by broadcasting schedules.
Key Responsibilities
The TV Host will be responsible for:
- Hosting live and recorded television programs, including news bulletins, magazine shows, and special broadcasts.
- Researching, preparing, and reviewing scripts, show rundowns, and interview questions before broadcasts.
- Conducting interviews with guests, experts, officials, and members of the public in a clear, professional, and engaging manner.
- Delivering news, commentary, and presentations accurately, impartially, and appropriately for the audience.
- Collaborating with producers, directors, camera crews, and editorial teams to plan and execute segments and full broadcasts.
- Adapting effectively to breaking news, schedule changes, technical issues, and last-minute script revisions.
- Representing EBS Television at public events, press briefings, and promotional activities when required.
