About EBS Television
Ethiopian Broadcasting Service (EBS TV) is a privately owned satellite television channel and one of Ethiopia’s pioneering private media companies. Established in 2008, EBS TV operates from Ethiopia with correspondents in the United States, headquartered in Silver Springs, Maryland.
EBS TV produces and broadcasts a variety of entertainment and information programs including talk shows, movies, dramas, game shows, and news segments covering both local and international affairs. The channel is best known for producing Seifu on EBS, Ethiopia’s first local late-night talk show. EBS TV is available via Nilesat (7°W) and DStv (since 2017).
Available Positions
Position 1: Program Scheduler
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Media Studies, or a related field.
- No prior experience required.
- Strong computer literacy; experience with broadcast scheduling or automation software is a plus.
- Basic understanding of networking and media file formats.
- Excellent attention to detail, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to fast-paced environments.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Location: Addis Ababa
Position 2: Marketing and Advertising Specialist
Qualifications & Requirements:
- BA in Marketing Management, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to build credible relationships across all organizational levels.
- Dedication to delivering exceptional customer service.
Location: Addis Ababa
Position 3: Accounts Receivable Officer
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting and Finance.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Location: Addis Ababa
Position 4: Marketing and Sales Manager
Qualifications & Requirements:
- BA/MA degree in Marketing Management, Sales, or related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Experience in planning and implementing sales strategies.
- Strong customer relationship management and team leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to drive the full sales process from planning to closing deals.
