Position: Junior Accountant
Qualification & Experience:
- Diploma or BA in Accounting and Finance.
- BA Degree: Minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
- Diploma: Minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
- Experience in manufacturing industries is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software.
Technical & Other Skills:
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent knowledge of Ethiopian accounting, taxation, and labor regulations, plus compliance with IFRS.
- High attention to detail, analytical thinking, and confidentiality.
- Strong computer skills (MS Office & financial software).
- Demonstrated skills in manufacturing finance management.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare journal entries and record financial transactions.
- Handle collection/payment documents and prepare monthly reconciliations.
- Support internal control documentation and monitoring.
- Contact debtors for payments and prepare bank lodgments.
- Update cash registers, issue CPV & CRV, and assist in finance operations.
- Provide periodic performance and financial reports.
- Perform additional duties assigned by the Finance Manager.
Purpose of the Job:
Enhance company operations by planning, organizing, and coordinating financial and accounting activities efficiently, while ensuring timely performance reporting.
