POSITION SUMMARY: COURIER
The Courier will be responsible for executing timely and secure delivery and collection of documents, parcels, and packages. This role supports DHL’s operational objectives in Ethiopia and helps ensure reliable delivery services and outstanding customer satisfaction.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Safely deliver and collect mail, packages, and legal documents across assigned routes
- Sort, distribute, and securely store internal and external parcels
- Load and unload courier vehicles
- Scan and log all deliveries using handheld tracking devices
- Perform vehicle safety checks and minor preventive maintenance
- Ensure all logistics are completed according to DHL’s safety and confidentiality standards
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Technical, vocational, or certified training preferred
- Experience: Less than 2 years of relevant work experience
- Good driving skills and knowledge of local delivery routes
- Ability to operate scanning devices and handle digital tracking
- Strong time management and customer service skills
- Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus
- Fluent in Amharic; basic English communication is preferred
