Position Overview: Data Encoder
Tina Mart is hiring a highly organized and detail-oriented Data Encoder to ensure the quality of product listings submitted by sellers to the Tina Mart platform. This role plays a critical part in maintaining accuracy, brand standards, and consistency across our digital catalog. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to work independently while providing feedback to product listers.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and approve or reject product listings submitted by listers on Tina Mart’s platform
- Verify product information for completeness, accuracy, proper tagging, and price formatting
- Apply platform standards related to product titles, descriptions, image quality, and categorization
- Provide clear, constructive feedback to sellers on rejected listings and suggest necessary corrections
- Maintain and update a tracking log of approved, rejected, and pending product uploads
- Coordinate with the operations and marketing teams to ensure product data supports promotional efforts
- Identify recurring issues and suggest improvements to listing guidelines and seller training materials
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Marketing, or related fields
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
- Basic understanding of e-commerce workflows and digital product catalogs
- Ability to communicate clearly in both Amharic and English
- Comfortable working independently, managing time, and meeting deadlines
