CBE is currently inviting qualified and experienced professionals for the following position:
Position: Social Risk Management Specialist
Required Educational Qualification & Experience
- Master’s Degree in Social Science, Development Studies, Socioeconomics, or other social disciplines related to Environmental and Social Risk Management
OR
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science, Development Studies, Socioeconomics, or related social disciplines with 7/9 years of general experience respectively
Required Experience
- Extensive experience in social development management including:
- Public consultation and public hearings
- Participatory research methods (observation, surveys)
- Participatory rural and urban appraisal
- Participatory poverty assessments
- Participatory monitoring and evaluation
- Grievance redress mechanisms
- Minimum of 5 years of specific experience in social safeguard issues and social risk management
- Strong knowledge of physical and economic displacement and rehabilitation
- Experience in preparing and implementing Resettlement Action Plans (RAP) related to construction projects
- Gender analysis experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of World Bank Environmental and Social Safeguard Policies and IFC Performance Standards
