Chora Gas and Chemical Products Factory (CGCPF) is one of Ethiopia’s oldest industrial manufacturers, originally established in 1938 E.C. under the name SEDE. With a legacy spanning over eight decades, CGCPF has contributed to Ethiopia’s industrial development by producing essential chemical and gas products including Oxygen, Acetylene, Sedex Bleach, and wax. Since gaining operational autonomy in 1985 E.C., the factory continues to serve diverse sectors with a commitment to quality and innovation.
Position 1: Junior Electrician
Job Summary:
The Junior Electrician will support the maintenance and installation of electrical systems in a factory setting. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates eager to build a career in industrial electrical engineering.
Key Requirements:
- BSc or TEVT Level V in Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering
- Technical diploma in Electricity or related field
- 0–1 year experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Ability to read electrical diagrams and implement electrical installations
- Strong safety awareness and teamwork skills
Position 2: Junior Mechanic
Job Summary:
The Junior Mechanic will assist with routine mechanical maintenance and repair of machinery used in the factory. This role is ideal for technically skilled individuals starting their careers in mechanical operations.
Key Requirements:
- BSc, TEVT Level V or Level IV in General Mechanics, Mechanical, or Electromechanical Engineering
- 0–1 year experience in a manufacturing environment
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems, tools, and machine operations
- Willingness to learn and adapt to industrial standards
Position 3: Sales Representative
Job Summary:
The Sales Representative will manage customer engagement, drive product sales, and ensure a strong client experience. This role is key to expanding CGCPF’s commercial reach across Ethiopia.
Key Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or related fields
- 1–2 years of experience in indoor sales or customer service (experience in the manufacturing sector is a plus)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong sales closing, negotiation, and customer service abilities
- Familiarity with MS Office and CRM tools
- Ability to multitask and meet sales targets under pressure
