About CAF
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) is the governing body of African football, founded in 1957 by Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia, and South Africa. With 54 member associations, CAF is responsible for organizing continental competitions, supporting national teams, and promoting football development across Africa. The CAF Secretariat is based in Cairo, Egypt.
CAF works to deliver high-quality football events, ensure effective competition management, and strengthen football governance across the continent.
Open Positions & Requirements
1. Inter-Clubs Officer
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Sports Management, or related diploma/certificate.
- Event management certification is an advantage.
- Minimum 2 years in football or sports event management.
- Excellent understanding of match operations, tournament/event management, and team & official communication.
- Fluent in English and French; Arabic and/or Portuguese is an asset.
- Strong IT, organizational, problem-solving, decision-making, and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a multicultural and dynamic environment.
2. Youth Competitions Officer
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Sports Management, or related diploma/certificate.
- Minimum 2 years in football/sports event management.
- Strong project management and motivational leadership skills.
- Excellent English and French communication; Arabic/Portuguese is an advantage.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and multitask efficiently.
3. National Teams Officer
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Sports Management, or related diploma/certificate.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in football/sports event management.
- Excellent understanding of match operations, tournaments, and team communications.
- Fluent in English and French; Arabic/Portuguese is a plus.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
4. Competitions Strategy & Planning Officer
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Sports Management, or related diploma/certificate.
- Minimum 2 years in football or sports event management.
- Expertise in tournament/event operations, planning, and team communication.
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and IT skills.
- Fluent in English and French; additional CAF languages are an advantage.
5. Senior Manager – Football Events
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in event production, event management, or the sports industry.
- Strong project management skills and technical expertise in event production.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and maintain high-quality standards.
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and teamwork skills.
- Fluent in English and/or French; additional CAF languages are an advantage.
- Willingness to travel.
