Position Summary: Business Unit Quality Assurance Officer
We are seeking a detail-oriented, experienced, and proactive Quality Assurance Officer to join our team at Yanet Internal Medicine Specialized Center in Hawassa. This role is central to maintaining service excellence, ensuring regulatory compliance, and advancing patient safety and quality standards within our healthcare facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor Quality Improvement (QI) projects aligned with national and international healthcare standards.
- Lead internal audits, manage accreditation processes, and oversee CAPA (Corrective & Preventive Actions) activities.
- Analyze risk, document findings, and recommend solutions for service and safety improvement.
- Train and guide clinical and administrative teams on quality assurance frameworks and compliance measures.
- Prepare and present high-quality reports, analysis dashboards, and quality documentation.
- Collaborate across units to maintain a culture of continuous quality improvement.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or health-related fields (medicine, public health).
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years in a healthcare environment.
- At least 1 year in quality assurance or patient safety roles.
Certifications (Highly Preferred):
- ISO 9001, TQM, or other recognized Quality Management certifications.
- Training in clinical audits, QI tools, or patient safety methodologies.
Competencies:
- Proficiency in audit tools, PDSA cycles, and risk analysis frameworks.
- Strong data analysis, interpretation, and presentation skills.
- Excellent report writing and MS Office proficiency.
- Fluency in English and the local working language.
- Strong leadership, communication, and project coordination skills.
