Position: Junior Customer Service Officer
Bunna Bank is inviting qualified and energetic candidates, including fresh graduates, to apply for the Junior Customer Service Officer position.
Education Requirements
Applicants should have a First Degree in one of the following fields:
- Business Administration and Information Systems (BAIS) is advantageous.
- Accounting
- Management
- Finance
- Economics
- Banking and Finance
- Related fields with training or certification in MIS, IT, or related areas
Experience
- No prior work experience is required.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Other Requirements
- Basic knowledge of banking operations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Professional and presentable appearance.
- Team-oriented mindset.
- Commitment to applicable National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE) standards.
Key Responsibilities
The Junior Customer Service Officer will be responsible for supporting branch customer service and banking operations, including:
- Handling account openings and maintaining customer registers.
- Managing document custody and related records.
- Processing counter transactions and cheque deposits.
- Handling returned cheques.
- Supporting Senior Customer Service Officers with back-office operations.
- Assisting with daily reconciliations, including ATM, POS, Merchant, and Branch books.
- Supporting the clearing of suspense accounts.
- Promoting bank products, services, and alternative digital banking channels.
- Supporting deposit mobilization and customer acquisition.
- Recruiting new clients and developing relationships with merchants and agents.
- Responding to customer inquiries while maintaining service quality and confidentiality.
