About the Scholarship
The British Council Women in STEM Scholarship 2026–27 supports women from eligible countries who face financial or social challenges, helping them pursue science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) studies at top UK universities.
This fully funded scholarship provides an opportunity to study at world-class institutions, gain valuable skills, and become part of a global network of women leaders in STEM. Scholars are expected to return home for at least two years after graduation to contribute to development and inspire other women in STEM fields.

Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a woman from an eligible country
- Must be able to explain the need for financial support

- Must have work experience in STEM or demonstrate strong interest in the field
- Must be motivated and serious about the course of study
- Must be willing to remain connected to the British Council alumni network after graduation
- Courses must start in September 2026
