JOB POSITION & REQUIREMENTS
Position:1. IT Helpdesk (Meta Plant)
Drive internal customer satisfaction by providing IT service support to all IT service users in the plant through Application, Network Support and Email Support and maintenance of all computers, printers, telecommunications, software for all and IT resources at the required level of quality,
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure that PCs, laptops, and printers are properly configured and working as required.
- Ensure that all PCs are protected from virus attacks by installing the latest Anti-Virus program.
- Handle service desk tickets that are logged via email, phone calls, or ITSM tool in a timely manner.
- Troubleshoot and resolve end-user hardware, operating system, client software, basic network, server access problems, and voice communication problems from the Helpdesk, where possible.
- Raise request for ICT consumables e.g., printer cartridges, flash drives, etc., to meet users request.
- Repair or replace faulty components of a computer and network system
- Perform scheduled maintenance and backup user data.
- Organize and provide end-user training.
Job Requirements:
- The position requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in IT/Computer Science/Computer Engineering/BIS/MIS, or related fields.
- CCNA/CompTIA A+/ ITIL Foundation Certificate is a plus.
- 2 years’ relevant experience.
Other competency:
- Deep understanding of service management principles, frameworks (such as ITIL), and best practices.
- Good understanding of end-user devices, Windows OS, and client applications.
- Hands-on experience with Customer service.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical employees

Position:2. Employee Engagement Manager
Manage and execute companywide employee engagement strategy and initiatives by developing programs that support employee overall well-being and engagement, creating engagement survey processes and metrics, overall engagement communication and administration, producing detailed report on employee engagement survey results for leadership action and ensuring that employee relations policy is consistently applied across the Company.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Be a lead in developing a winning culture through employee engagement interventions and practices and develop comprehensive and sustainable employee engagement strategy,
- Responsible to developing and implementing internal communications, events and engagement plan across BGI,
- Develop and direct implementation of employee relation & engagement policies, and programs,
- Work directly with leadership and human resources team on establishing a strategic tool for the organization’s growth, productivity, and ability to attract and retain valuable employees
- Develop, execute, and evaluate internal communication plan to ensure the vision, values, initiatives, and organizational information are communicated regularly and effectively,
- Research current and potential labor relations problems, opportunities, and issues, and evaluates their impact, and recommend alternative courses of action,
- Coordinate local level negotiation and/or participates in negotiation of multi-location agreements with unions on the behalf of BGI, by working closely with labor union leaders to address issues related to staff
- Analyze information and data necessary to define and discern cost and policy implications of negotiations and dispute.
- Research and explains laws and legal affairs concerning employment to managers, supervisors, and employees and advise and train managers and supervisors in best employee relations practices and strategies for managing supervisor problems and employee grievances
- Collaborate with leadership on matters of policy and terms of memorandum of understanding before and throughout negotiation process,
- Collaborates with legal counsel and departments in the preparation for and participation in negotiation with employee and labor groups
- Help develop and implement the company’s diversity initiatives and strategies to attract, hire, and maintain a diverse workplace,
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the line manager
Job Requirements:
Education: The position requires a minimum of bachelor’s degree in HR Management/ Business Administration/ Management/ Public Administration or related fields.
Experience: 8 years’ experience relevant experience in employee engagement and industrial relation & at least 2 years in managerial role
Other competency:
- Experience in implementing diverse and high impact HR initiatives to support organizational objectives
- High level understanding of the county labor legislation and industrial relation
- Ability to develop and communicate goals in support of the business’ mission
- Ability to enhance others’ commitment to their work.
- As a team member, the ability and desire to work cooperatively with others on a team; the ability to demonstrate interest, skill, and success in getting groups to learn to work together.
- Ability to demonstrate support for organizational changes needed to improve the organization’s effectiveness;
