Position Overview: Store Keeper (Contract)
The Store Keeper is responsible for managing warehouse and inventory operations, ensuring accurate stock handling, safe storage practices, and compliance with BGI’s warehouse standards and procedures. The role supports uninterrupted production through effective inventory control and material availability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing & Supply Chain Management, Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Management, or related fields
- 2–3 years of experience in warehouse and inventory management
- Experience in FMCG manufacturing environments is highly preferred
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Control incoming supplies by verifying quantity and quality against purchase orders following BGI raw material receiving procedures
- Reject non-conforming materials and escalate issues to supervisors and quality representatives for timely resolution
- Receive, store, and issue materials in line with proper material management procedures
- Maintain accurate records of all incoming, outgoing, and transferred warehouse items
- Process Goods Received Notes (GRN) and issue vouchers through the system for production deliveries
- Ensure system records are accurately reconciled with physical stock
- Maintain warehouse storage areas, facilities, and equipment in line with minimum standards and safety requirements
- Ensure segregation of stock by item, batch, and expiry date, including designated storage for damaged or expired items
- Label all stored materials with appropriate tags, batch numbers, and expiry dates
- Implement 5S practices to ensure a clean, orderly, and efficient warehouse environment
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and safety hazards within and around warehouse areas
- Conduct daily stock reconciliation between physical inventory and system records
- Ensure all stock movements are accurately and timely recorded in the AX system
