JOB POSITION & REQUIREMENTS
Position: Interpreters
Required languages:
- Amharic and English
- Tigrigna and English
- Ormomifa and English
- Agnuak and English
- Somali and English
- Arabic and English
- Spanish and English
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- College students or graduates,
- Proficient in one or more of the above-needed languages,
- Proficient, accent-neutral, near-native English,
- Work experience in a customer service environment is advantageous,
- Good attendance record,
- Ability to sit for long hours with little breaks in between,
- Prior interpretation experience is a plus but not a required,
- Knowledge and use of PC systems/CRM and Google Search is a must.
Preferred Skills:
- Superior oral and written communication skills,
- Computer literacy with the ability to type a minimum of 20 WPM,
- Competency in a service organization environment,
- Ability to work independently,
- Self-motivated, willingness to constantly improve,
- Attention to detail and be able to multi-task and prioritize work daily,
- The ability to focus on a fast-paced environment while handling calls with a courteous, friendly, and well-spoken tone,
- Strong people skills and ability to communicate orally and in written form.
Special requirements:
- Internet connection must be xDSL, Coaxial, or Fiber and reliable service to avoid missed/dropped calls.
- Own laptop computers with Windows PC with a minimum of 2 physical cores >1.5 GHz; at least 8GB of RAM and a minimum screen resolution of HD (720p).
- Headset with USB connection, Noise-canceling microphone.
- Reliable electricity.
- Personal quiet room for avoiding disturbing noises and interference.
- Willingness to work during Ethiopian holidays as the candidates will only rest on holidays recognized in the USA.
Job Summary : Facilitate communication between parties who speak two different languages over an internet-supported platform by conveying information effectively, professionally, and neutrally to ensure communication aligns with job and company expectations.
Weekly workload: at least 40 hours from late afternoon to or beyond midnight to align with the Pacific Standard Time day shift. Flexibility required to work 40 hours any time 24/7 including Holidays.
Place of work: Any part of Ethiopia.
Gross Salary: Birr 12,000.00 monthly taxable gross salary for complete attendance with neither tardiness nor absence.
