Position: Associate UX/UI Designer
Educational Qualification:
- BSc Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or related fields.
- Certification in UX/UI or Graphic Design is advantageous.
Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience, including 3 years specifically in UX/UI or Graphic Design.
- Experience in the banking sector is a plus.
Job Objective
To design high-quality user experiences (UX) and user interfaces (UI) for Bank of Abyssinia’s digital products with growing independence, creativity, and ownership.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Execute design tasks including research, wireframing, prototyping, and visual design.
- Conduct user research through interviews, surveys, and usability tests.
- Translate research insights into low-to-mid fidelity wireframes and design prototypes.
- Support creation of intuitive UI elements such as icons, layouts, and components.
- Design user flows, interaction models, and screen transitions.
- Maintain UI/UX documentation and design libraries.
- Collaborate with IT and product teams to ensure accurate design implementation.
- Participate in design critiques and agile discussions.
- Test final interfaces to ensure they align with approved UX/UI specifications.
- Develop personas, user scenarios, and information architecture.
- Monitor customer experience metrics and support ongoing UX improvement.
- Prepare and deliver periodic performance reports.
- Act as UX/UI Designer in the absence of the position holder.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
