Position: Operations Manager
Atrafi is seeking a results-driven and disciplined Operations Manager to lead daily equb operations, manage field teams, and drive customer growth while ensuring operational excellence.
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field
- Additional certifications in leadership, microfinance, or financial services are an advantage
- Minimum 5 years of managerial or supervisory experience
- Experience in SACCO, Microfinance, Equb operations, Financial services, or Field-based operations is required
Position Summary
The Operations Manager will oversee field operations, coordinate teams, and ensure efficient service delivery. The role focuses on customer acquisition, team performance, and strengthening community engagement.
CORE MANAGERIAL DUTIES
- Plan, organize, and supervise daily operations
- Translate company strategy into actionable plans
- Lead, coach, and manage team performance
- Set measurable targets and monitor progress
- Assign field staff to geographic areas
- Conduct team meetings and provide feedback
- Prepare operational reports (daily, weekly, monthly)
- Resolve operational challenges and enforce compliance
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deploy and manage field teams for customer recruitment
- Track team and individual performance
- Conduct field supervision and evaluations
- Drive growth in equb membership
- Maintain accurate operational records
- Collaborate with management on strategy improvements
- Represent the company professionally

- Customer acquisition vs target
- Field activity and coverage
- Team performance and retention
- Accuracy and timeliness of reports
- Speed of resolving operational issues

WORKING CONDITIONS
- Based in Addis Ababa with regular field work
- Monday to Saturday schedule
- 60-day probation period
- Travel within Addis Ababa and nearby areas required
