Position Summary: Intern – Saving Lives and Livelihoods (SLL) Project
Are you a passionate graduate eager to contribute to meaningful change in Africa’s health sector? Amref Health Africa is looking for a proactive Intern to support the implementation of the Saving Lives and Livelihoods (SLL) Phase II project in Ethiopia. This role offers hands-on experience in community health operations and exposure to public health programming in complex contexts.

🧠 Key Responsibilities Under the guidance of the Project Manager, the Intern will:

  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing project activities at both central and field levels
  • Support monitoring, evaluation, and reporting processes for the SLL Phase II project
  • Participate in field visits to ensure timely and quality project implementation
  • Liaise with local stakeholders to enhance project coordination and communication
  • Contribute to documentation of best practices and lessons learned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Health Management, or related field
  • Fresh graduates encouraged to apply (0 years required experience)
  • Willingness to work in conflict-affected and hard-to-reach regions
  • Excellent coordination, reporting, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and thrive under pressure
  • Fluency in English and Amharic; local language proficiency is a plus
