Position: Accountant – Control Payable and Equity
Are you an analytical finance professional eager to make an impact in a global company? Join Coca-Cola Ethiopia and play a key role in managing vendor accounts, intercompany processes, and financial reporting to help keep one of the world’s most iconic brands running smoothly
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounts Payable & Vendor Management
- Follow up on overdue balances from local and foreign vendors
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness in payables, reconciliations, and vendor communications
2. Intercompany Transactions
- Oversee intercompany invoicing, purchase requisitions, and payments
- Ensure monthly recharges and confirmations are completed and reported accurately
3. Financial Reporting & GL Reconciliation
- Conduct general ledger (GL) reconciliations for AP accounts
- Run vendor foreign currency revaluations and clear GL exceptions promptly
4. Reporting Tools & Group Compliance
- Use Power BI to generate reports related to RACM (Risk and Control Matrix)
- Support month-end close and intercompany group reporting
- Collaborate with the treasury and payable sections for complete financial visibility
5. Additional Duties
- Perform tasks assigned by immediate supervisors to support financial operations
What You Need to Succeed
- BA Degree in Accounting or Accounting & Finance
- At least 2 years of relevant accounting experience
- Strong understanding of vendor management, GL, and intercompany processes
- Familiarity with Power BI and ERP systems is advantageous
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of meeting tight deadlines
- Strong communication, organization, and reporting skills
