Position: WHO Internship Programme – Public Health
The WHO Internship Programme offers students and recent graduates an opportunity to gain practical experience in technical and administrative areas of the organization. Interns work alongside experienced professionals, develop their skills, and contribute to projects that support global public health initiatives.
Internship opportunities are available in technical fields as well as administrative areas, including communications, external relations, human resources, and management.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
Age
- Must be at least 20 years old on the date of application.
Educational Qualifications
Applicants must:
- Be enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate, or postgraduate programme at a recognized university or equivalent institution; or
- Have completed a formal qualification within the last 18 months before applying.
- Have completed at least three years of full-time university study (Bachelor’s level or equivalent) before starting the internship.

Language Requirements
- Applicants must be fluent in at least one of the working languages of the WHO office where they will be assigned.
Nationality
- Must hold a valid passport from a WHO Member State.
Family Relationship
- Applicants must not be related to a WHO staff member (such as a parent, sibling, or child).
Previous Participation
- Applicants must not have previously participated in the WHO Internship Programme.
