About the Summer Research Program 2026
The University of Rochester International Student Summer Research Program is designed for high-achieving undergraduate and master’s students with a strong interest in chemistry and related disciplines. The program offers participants the opportunity to conduct full-time research under the supervision of faculty members in the Department of Chemistry.
This program is particularly intended for students planning to pursue a PhD in Chemistry or related fields.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Must not be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Must currently be studying outside the United States
- Must not be enrolled in or have completed a PhD program
- Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or master’s program in:
- Chemistry
- Physics
- Biology
- Engineering
- Computer Science
- Or related fields
- Must intend to pursue a PhD in Chemistry

- Contact information of two academic referees (professors familiar with your work)
