About the Swedish Institute Scholarship
The Swedish Institute Scholarships for Global Professionals (SISGP) is a prestigious, fully funded scholarship program designed to develop future global leaders. The scholarship aligns with the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and aims to empower professionals who will contribute to sustainable development in their home countries and regions.
The program offers outstanding academic and professional exposure in top Swedish universities and provides access to an extensive global leadership network.
Financial Benefits (Fully Funded)
The Swedish Institute Scholarship covers all major study and living expenses, including:
- Full tuition fee (paid directly to the Swedish university)
- Monthly living allowance of SEK 12,000
- One-time travel grant of SEK 15,000
(SEK 10,000 for selected countries) - Health insurance
- Membership in the SI Network for Global Professionals (NFGP)
- Lifetime access to the Sweden Alumni Network

Eligible Countries
Applicants must be citizens of one of the eligible countries, including:
Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, Sudan, Egypt, Nigeria, Ghana, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, Turkey, Ukraine, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and others.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Citizenship from an eligible country
- Admission to an eligible Master’s program in Sweden
- Minimum 3,000 hours of documented work experience
- Proven leadership experience (professional or voluntary)
- Strong academic background
- Commitment to contributing to sustainable development
