About MTCP Scholarship 2026
The Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP) Scholarship is a fully funded initiative by the Malaysian Government designed for international students from developing countries. The program aims to support postgraduate studies while equipping students with skills and knowledge to contribute to their home countries.
The scholarship covers Master’s degree programs with a duration of 24 to 36 months across various fields, including coursework, mixed mode, and research-based programs.

Eligibility Criteria
- Must be an international student from an eligible MTCP country
- Must not be older than 45 years at the time of application

Academic Requirements
- Minimum Second Class Upper (Honours) or CGPA 3.00 at undergraduate level
- English proficiency:
- IELTS score of 6.0 or above, or
- TOEFL iBT score of 60 or above, or
- Previous degree taught in English

The MTCP Scholarship is open to applicants from developing countries, including Ethiopia, Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, India, Pakistan, Indonesia, Egypt, and many more across Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America.
