POSITION: INTERN – REGIONAL PROGRAMME SUPPORT

This internship is designed for students and recent graduates who are passionate about international development, governance, peacebuilding, and social impact work. The role provides hands-on exposure to programme implementation, coordination, research, and reporting within a UN environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. PROGRAMME SUPPORT

  • Assist in implementation and monitoring of regional programmes
  • Support data collection, analysis, and reporting
  • Contribute to research and policy documentation

2. COMMUNICATION & REPORTING

  • Assist in drafting reports, briefs, and presentations
  • Support editing and proofreading of documents
  • Prepare communication materials for internal and external use

3. COORDINATION SUPPORT

  • Support meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagements
  • Assist in coordination between teams and partners
  • Maintain proper documentation and filing systems

4. ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT

  • Support daily office and programme operations
  • Assist in tracking project progress and updating databases
  • Provide general administrative and logistical support

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Enrolled in or recently graduated with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Political Science, Law, Human Rights, Public Policy, Sociology, or related fields
  • Strong interest in international development and public service
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a multicultural and fast-paced environment
  • No prior professional experience required
