Scholarship Benefits
The Simmons University Kotzen Scholarship 2025-26 is a fully funded undergraduate scholarship that covers:
- Full tuition for the entire duration of the program (4 years)
- Free on-campus accommodation (room & board)
- An additional $3,000 annually for academic activities such as:
- Study abroad
- Summer research
- Specialized academic programs
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the Kotzen Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be applying for undergraduate (bachelor’s) programs at Simmons University
- Have a GPA of 3.3 or higher
- Have taken challenging coursework (Honors, AP, IB)
- Submit strong standardized test scores, such as:
- SAT: 1300+ (new), or 1250+ (old – CR + M), with at least 600 in each section
- ACT: 28+
- OR submit TOEFL/IELTS scores as proof of English proficiency
- Demonstrate leadership potential and academic excellence
Selection Criteria
Applicants are evaluated based on:
- Strong academic record
- Quality of essay and short-answer responses
- Demonstrated motivation for the program
- Alignment with Simmons University’s values and mission

- Short Answer Responses (max 250 words each)
- Formal Essay (max 500 words) in PDF format on the given topic
- Updated Resume (PDF or Word) outlining academic and extracurricular achievements
- Ensure each page includes the student’s full name and date of birth
- Use “Kotzen Application” as the email subject line
- Do not send files in formats other than PDF or Word
