Position: Internal Auditor Officer
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Management, Accounting, or other business-related fields
- Minimum 4 years of banking experience, preferably as a Junior Auditor
Job Objective:
Ensure the integrity, efficiency, and compliance of Shabelle Bank’s operations through comprehensive internal audits. Plan, execute, and report on audit engagements, evaluate internal controls, and support strong governance and risk management practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop audit objectives, scope, and methodologies, and prepare audit programs in collaboration with the Senior Internal Auditor
- Conduct audits in a professional manner, following approved programs and professional standards
- Review documents, conduct interviews and surveys, and prepare detailed working papers
- Identify, document, and communicate audit findings with actionable recommendations
- Assess the effectiveness of internal controls, compliance systems, and risk management frameworks
- Prepare and deliver high-quality audit reports to support governance and operational efficiency
