The bank is inviting qualified candidates to join its team in the critical role of Junior Credit Information Customer Officer (CIC).
Position: Junior Credit Information Customer Officer (CIC) – External
Qualifications
- B.A. Degree in Accounting, Management, Information Systems, or related fields
- 1+ year of relevant banking experience, preferably in credit administration, collections, or follow-up activities
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and consolidate customer financing profiles from branches and financing units
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of data submitted to the Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
- Regularly update credit limits, repayment behavior, and classification status
- Prepare and submit monthly credit reports to the National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE) per regulatory requirements
- Respond to data accuracy queries or correction requests from CRB or NBE
- Ensure full compliance with the bank’s internal credit information reporting policies
- Provide up-to-date credit history and exposure status to appraisal and risk departments
- Monitor changes in borrowers’ risk classifications and support timely decision-making
- Assist with internal audits or regulatory examinations related to credit data
- Collaborate with IT and financing teams to automate and enhance credit information flow
- Maintain confidentiality and security of customer data in line with regulatory standards
- Address data mismatch issues and coordinate resolutions with external authorities
