Sele Enat Charitable Organization (SECO) is an Ethiopian non-governmental, child-focused organization founded in 2002. SECO works to improve the lives of vulnerable children and women through Family-Based Care, Community-Based Care, and Residential Care programs. The organization promotes child welfare, family preservation, reunification, kinship care, foster care, and domestic adoption while supporting women’s economic independence through skills training and seed funding.

Position: Social Worker
SECO is seeking a motivated and compassionate female Social Worker to support its child welfare and family preservation programs. This position is ideal for recent graduates passionate about making a tangible difference in the lives of vulnerable children and families.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work
Work Experience
- 0 years (fresh graduates encouraged to apply)
Required Skills
- Strong understanding and passion for child welfare and family preservation models
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and empathetic listening skills
- Ability to conduct home assessments and manage sensitive case files ethically
- Commitment to safeguarding privacy and dignity of beneficiaries
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with internet tools
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychosocial assessments for vulnerable children and their families
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans
- Facilitate family tracing, reunification, and family preservation strengthening
- Prepare case stories and reports
- Provide supportive counseling and connect beneficiaries to resources
- Maintain accurate, confidential documentation and reporting
