Position: Specialist – Contact Center Support

Are you an IT professional with a passion for system support and cloud technologies? Safaricom Ethiopia is seeking a highly motivated and qualified Specialist – Contact Center Support to join its dynamic IT and systems support team.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Software or Hardware Engineering
  • At least 3 years of experience in systems support, technical support, IT helpdesk, or system administration
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, SQL, and reporting tools
  • Strong understanding of cloud technologies, including data center virtualization and containerization
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in Linux/Ubuntu and/or Windows system administration
  • Hands-on experience with network troubleshooting and protocol analyzer tools
  • Experience in IT project management and service support
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong follow-up and reporting abilities
  • Customer-oriented mindset

Preferred Certifications:

  • CCNA
  • CompTIA A+
  • Cloud and virtualization certifications

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for contact center systems
  • Administer and maintain server environments (Linux/Windows)
  • Support cloud-based infrastructure and ensure system reliability
  • Analyze network-related incidents using diagnostic tools
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to resolve issues and improve service delivery
  • Participate in system upgrades, patch management, and project rollouts
  • Monitor performance and ensure adherence to SLAs
