Repi Soap & Detergent PLC, formerly known as Repi Soap Factory, was established in 1974 under the name Bianil Ethiopia Share Company by Swiss and Greek investors to produce and distribute powdered detergent for the East African market dominated by Unilever’s OMO brand.
Less than a year after its establishment, the company became state-owned and operated under the National Chemical Corporation. In 1992, it was re-established as a public enterprise by the Council of Ministers and recapitalized with Birr 1,525,000.
Today, Repi Soap & Detergent PLC is a leading player in Ethiopia’s fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry, providing high-quality soaps, detergents, and cleaning products to millions of households across the country.
Position Overview: Sales Data Analyst
Repi Soap & Detergent PLC is seeking a Sales Data Analyst to join its sales and distribution team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the effective use of the company’s DMS-SFA (Distribution Management System/Sales Force Automation) platform and in providing data-driven insights to improve sales performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in data analytics or sales operations.
- Practical experience with sales automation tools such as DMS or SFA.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Canva is an advantage.
- Understanding of sales and distribution processes preferred.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Conduct UAT (User Acceptance Testing) on existing and new functionalities of DMS-SFA.
- Handle training, retraining, and issue resolution for DT admins and sales teams.
- Ensure seamless functionality and 100% usage of the DMS-SFA application.
- Supervise and measure DT admin performance to ensure accurate data entry and reporting.
- Accompany sales representatives to assess field performance and adherence to best practices.
- Provide regular feedback and enhancement suggestions to the DMS team.
- Monitor sales KPIs, compliance, absenteeism, and deviations from route-to-market standards.
- Analyze reports and dashboards related to DMS-SFA utilization and salesman performance.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Development teams to optimize system usage.
- Provide daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports to line management.
- Support continuous supervision and quick resolution of DMS/SFA-related issues.
