Position: Medical Home Care Nurse
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide in-home and in-clinic patient care according to physician instructions
- Administer IV medications and monitor infusion therapies
- Perform wound care, dressing changes, and hygiene maintenance
- Monitor patient progress and report updates to physicians
- Educate patients and caregivers on medication use, care plans, and health monitoring
- Maintain detailed and professional medical records and reports
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
- Valid nursing license and relevant certification in Ethiopia
- Minimum of 6 months hands-on experience (home care or nursing home experience is an added advantage)
Desired Skills and Competencies:
- Skilled in wound care, catheter management, tracheostomy care, injection and IV administration
- Strong report writing and communication skills
- Active listening, critical thinking, and problem-solving ability
- Compassionate, patient-centered, and emotionally resilient
- Physically fit and mentally strong to handle emergency and high-pressure situations
Work Environment:
- Must be willing to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to handle high-stress situations with professionalism
- Comfortable with prolonged use of computers and digital tools
- Must maintain calm demeanor when dealing with challenging clients
