Position Overview: Senior Finance Manager
As the Senior Finance Manager, you will lead Pixel’s financial operations, ensure compliance with tax laws, manage budgets, and provide strategic financial direction. This is a senior leadership role reporting directly to the General Manager, with significant influence on company-wide financial decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Analyze financial trends and performance for strategic planning
- Manage cash flow, budget variance, and forecasting
2. Budgeting & Fiscal Planning
- Lead and coordinate the annual budgeting process
- Monitor budget compliance and recommend cost-saving initiatives
3. Taxation & Compliance
- Handle monthly VAT declarations and tax filings
- Ensure full compliance with Ethiopian tax laws and financial regulations
- Represent the company during audits and tax authority engagements
4. Accounting & Year-End Closure
- Supervise month-end and year-end closings
- Oversee accurate record keeping and timely submission of financials
5. Team Leadership
- Manage and mentor finance staff, setting clear KPIs
- Develop internal financial policies and procedures
6. Strategic Guidance
- Advise executive leadership on financial strategies
- Evaluate business risks and support long-term growth planning
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Experience:
- Minimum 6 years of total experience
- At least 3 years in senior finance leadership
- Technical Proficiency:
- Skilled in Peachtree Accounting Software
- Deep knowledge of Ethiopian tax and statutory laws
- Sector Experience:
- Experience in import/export finance is highly preferred
- Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management abilities
