Open Positions
Position 1: Accountant & Purchaser
Location: Ayat, Addis Ababa
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Mid-Level Accountant & Purchaser to support both our financial and procurement operations. This hybrid role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in accounting and a strong aptitude for supplier coordination and inventory control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle daily accounting operations and monthly financial closures
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure cost control
- Manage procurement activities and coordinate with vendors
- Ensure timely processing of payments and receipts
- Prepare and file all applicable taxes in compliance with regulations
- Support management with financial reports and cost analysis
- Collaborate with storekeepers and workshop staff for efficient procurement
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations
- Experience with Peachtree and Microsoft Excel
- Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities independently
Position 2: Sales Designer
Location: Palace Woodworks Showroom, Jackros
Palace Trading PLC is seeking a Sales Designer with a flair for interior design and excellent client engagement skills. You will guide clients through the customization of kitchens, closets, and other woodwork products, serving as the link between customers, designers, and production teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome and assist walk-in and referred clients
- Understand client preferences and present tailored design solutions
- Use design software (e.g., SketchUp, AutoCAD) to prepare visuals
- Provide accurate price quotations and close sales
- Coordinate with design and production teams for seamless execution
- Follow up on leads and maintain client relationships
Required Qualifications:
- Background in Architecture, Interior Design, Woodwork, or related field
- Sales experience in home interiors or construction preferred
- Proficiency in design software (SketchUp, AutoCAD, etc.)
- Strong communication, follow-up, and presentation skills
- Knowledge of wood materials, finishes, and manufacturing processes
