The Organization for Prevention, Rehabilitation and Integration of Female Street Children (OPRIFS) is an Ethiopian resident charity working to support, protect, rehabilitate, and reintegrate abused and vulnerable female street children.
Position: Project Counselor
Educational Qualification
- BA Degree in Psychology
Experience
- 0 years and above of experience in direct work is acceptable.
- Fresh graduates with the required educational background can apply.
Required Skills and Characteristics
Applicants should have:
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of counseling and guidance
- Strong communication skills
- Computer skills
- Ability to work professionally with vulnerable children
- Compassion, patience, and responsibility
Major Duties and Responsibilities
The Project Counselor will:
- Ensure children are protected and receive professional care at all times.
- Provide individual counseling and group guidance.
- Provide life-skills training and therapeutic services.
- Support children in recovering from traumatic experiences.
- Guide and motivate children in the safe home.
- Encourage children to actively participate in different activities.
- Plan, implement, and follow up on guidance and counseling interventions.
The Project Counselor will be accountable to the Safe Home Team Leader.
Salary
Salary will be provided according to the organization’s salary scale.
