About Operation Smile Ethiopia
Operation Smile is an international non-profit organization providing free surgeries to people born with cleft conditions. OSE has been active in Ethiopia since 2005, operating programs at Jimma University Medical Centre (Jimma), St Paul’s Hospital Millennium Medical College (Addis Ababa), and Ayder Comprehensive Specialized Hospital (Tigray). OSE is expanding to Hawassa University Comprehensive Specialized Hospital (Sidama Region), continuing its mission to improve health and dignity through safe surgery.
Position: Finance and Admin Assistant (Internship)
Qualifications, Skills, and Behaviors
- BA in Accounting from a recognized university
- 0–1 year of relevant experience (fresh graduates encouraged to apply)
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English, Amharic, and Oromifa
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial tools
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Internet, Teams)
- Motivated, coachable, and willing to learn
- Strong coordination and teamwork skills
- Flexible to work during regular hours and occasional extended hours
Compensation
- Fair stipend for a six-month maternity cover internship
- The assistant must bring a functional laptop
