About Nib Candy Factory
Nib Candy Factory is a growing player in Ethiopia’s food and confectionery manufacturing sector, known for delivering high-quality products with a focus on customer satisfaction and operational excellence. The company is currently seeking a motivated and responsible Cashier Accountant to join its finance team in Addis Ababa.
Position: Cashier Accountant
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Experience:
- 0 years and above (Experienced candidates are highly preferred)
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and process payments via cash, credit card, mobile money, or checks
- Issue receipts, invoices, and related financial documents
- Track and collect outstanding balances and follow up on overdue accounts
- Reconcile cash drawer daily and prepare daily cash reports
- Deposit daily collected funds into designated bank accounts
- Maintain proper documentation in the accounting system
- Support monthly closing and financial reporting
- Coordinate with the sales and finance teams to resolve discrepancies
- Manage petty cash, monitor usage, and request replenishment
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding payments and receipts
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
Key Competencies:
- Strong mathematical and data entry skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle confidential financial data responsibly
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Familiarity with credit collection procedures
