About NEBE
The National Election Board of Ethiopia (NEBE), established under Proclamation No. 1133/2011, is the constitutional body responsible for organizing elections, referenda, and regulating political parties in Ethiopia. NEBE is strengthening its institutional capacity, with a focus on human resource development, ahead of the 7th General Election in May 2026.
Available Intern Positions
1. Intern – Training Department
Qualifications:
- Degree in Education, Communication, Social Sciences, or related fields
Skills: - Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in teams and manage multiple tasks
- Proficient in MS Office and communication platforms
Number of Positions: 20
Duration: 10 months
Duty Station: NEBE Headquarters, Addis Ababa (regional assignments possible)
Role: Support training coordination, communication, and logistics for election preparations
2. Intern – Logistics Department
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in any field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Good English communication skills
- Willingness to work under challenging conditions and overtime
Number of Positions: 24
Duration: 7 months
Duty Station: NEBE Headquarters, Addis Ababa
Role: Assist with logistics planning, coordination, and operational support
3. Intern – Civic and Voter Education (CVE) Department
Qualifications:
- Degree in Law, Civic Education, Political Science, Adult Education, or related Social Sciences
- No prior work experience required
- Proficiency in Amharic and local language of assigned duty station
Number of Positions: 150
Duration: 8 months
Duty Station: NEBE Headquarters and regional offices
Role: Support Civic & Voter Education programs, regional outreach, and collaboration with student volunteers
