Since 1979, MTI has responded to emergencies and health crises through skilled volunteers, essential medical supplies, and long-term health system support. In Ethiopia, MTI works to strengthen healthcare access in vulnerable communities, often operating in remote, under-resourced areas.
As part of our mission to build local capacity and empower young professionals, we are offering an HR Internship for eligible female graduates in Addis Ababa.
Position: HR Intern – Entry-Level Human Resources (Female Only)
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in organizing and maintaining HR files and documentation
- Support recruitment processes including posting jobs and screening resumes
- Help prepare employee records, contracts, and onboarding materials
- Coordinate training and development sessions as required
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, leave, and other HR data
- Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards in all HR operations
- Provide administrative support to the HR team and related departments
- Travel to remote project sites may be required for field support
Minimum Qualifications
Education
- BA Degree in Human Resource Management, Management, Public Administration, or related social sciences
- Graduated in 2015 or 2016 E.C. from a recognized institution
Experience
- No prior experience required (entry-level position)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Basic understanding of HR practices and functions
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills in Amharic and English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and databases)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to handle confidential materials with discretion
- Willingness to travel to remote health sites when needed
