EBS TV is widely known for producing Seifu on EBS, Ethiopia’s first local late-night talk show, and has become a household name across the country and the diaspora. The channel is accessible via Nilesat and DStv platforms, reaching millions of viewers locally and globally.
Position: Logistics Coordinator
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Logistics Coordinator to manage and oversee all logistics functions for EBS TV productions. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth studio operations, timely delivery of equipment, and overall efficiency in broadcast logistics.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate logistics for studio recordings, live broadcasts, and field productions.
- Manage the scheduling and dispatch of vehicles, crew, and technical equipment.
- Ensure safe handling, storage, and transport of broadcasting gear, including cameras, lighting, and sound equipment.
- Track and maintain inventory of production equipment and office supplies.
- Liaise with suppliers, service providers, and transport companies for timely deliveries.
- Coordinate customs clearance and shipping arrangements for imported media equipment.
- Monitor maintenance schedules for vehicles and technical gear.
- Prepare regular logistics reports and provide support to production and technical teams.
- Collaborate with HR, operations managers, and finance teams to align logistics with broadcasting schedules.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in logistics coordination, preferably in media, entertainment, or events industries.
- Strong knowledge of fleet and equipment management.
- Proven ability to handle multiple assignments in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with logistics or inventory software is a plus.
- Demonstrated team management skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or travel when required.
