EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

- Finance
WORK EXPERIENCE
- No prior work experience is required.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Internship experience in a hotel or restaurant is an advantage but is not mandatory.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Applicants should have the following qualifications and skills:
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and develop professionally.
- Native-level fluency in Amharic.
- Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Junior Cost Control Officer will support the hospitality finance team in the following areas:
- Cost Monitoring: Track daily operational expenses, including food and beverage, housekeeping, and utilities.
- Inventory Verification: Participate in physical stock counts, inventory audits, and variance analysis for hotel supplies and kitchen provisions.
- Data Entry and Reporting: Enter financial information into cost-control spreadsheets and internal management systems.
- Wastage Control: Help monitor portion control, kitchen waste, and spoilage to improve cost efficiency without compromising quality.
- Invoice Checking: Verify supplier invoices against purchase orders and receiving records to ensure accurate pricing.
