Position Summary: Knowledge Management Intern

JSI Ethiopia is seeking a highly motivated Knowledge Management Intern to support content development, communication activities, documentation, and learning across various projects. This is an excellent opportunity for young professionals interested in public health communication, knowledge sharing, and digital content management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the creation of knowledge products including reports, briefs, articles, and newsletters
  • Assist in editing, formatting, and designing communication materials
  • Develop and manage social media content under supervision
  • Support documentation of project activities, success stories, and lessons learned
  • Contribute to internal and external knowledge exchange platforms
  • Assist in organizing learning and dissemination events
  • Perform other knowledge management and communications tasks as assigned

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, political science, public health, or a related field
  • Proven writing and editorial experience; content development or graphic design is a plus
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro) is an asset
  • Passion for public health and development issues
  • Strong intercultural and gender sensitivity, and ability to work in a professional and diverse environment
  • Strong documentation, research, and analytical skills
  • Technical affinity with digital media tools and content management systems
  • Experience in social media management is an added advantage
  • Willingness to travel within Ethiopia when required
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, MS Teams)
  • Strong initiative and creativity, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
