K.Mikedem General Import & Export, together with its sister companies KKGW, KROTAJ, and PORCHLIGHT, is inviting qualified applicants to apply for the position of Junior Logistics Officer.
The company has more than two decades of experience in Ethiopia’s import and export sector, specializing in the export of sesame, oilseeds, and spices, as well as the import of home supply products and media electronics.
Position: Junior Logistics Officer
Educational Qualification
- BA Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from a recognized college or university.
Preferred Requirements
- Experience in an import/export company is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare bank permits, invoices, and packing lists for import and export shipments.
- Maintain communication with logistics departments, airlines, banks, and government offices.
- Coordinate logistics and operational activities.
- Arrange sales contracts, shipment schedules, and documentation.
- Communicate with international buyers and suppliers regarding shipment schedules and status updates.
- Work closely with third-party logistics service providers.
- Audit freight costs and shipping documentation.
- Ensure timely processing of payments.
- Create packing lists and update shipment information in databases.
- Organize and maintain manual and electronic files.
- Monitor and facilitate repair orders.
- Coordinate deliveries and ensure documents reach customers and airlines.
- Handle flight bookings and shipment follow-up.
- Assist sister companies and other departments when required.
- Prepare annual and quarterly work plans and provide weekly progress reports.
