Position Summary: Junior Sales Agronomist
Eco Green is seeking a motivated and field-oriented Junior Sales Agronomist to join its Adama-based team. The successful candidate will actively support the promotion, demonstration, and sales of organic fertilizer products, while providing agronomic guidance and technical support to farmers, cooperatives, and partners throughout the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and demonstrate organic liquid fertilizer to farmers, agricultural unions, and cooperatives
- Provide on-site technical support and training on fertilizer application and crop management
- Assist in conducting field trials and collecting agronomic data for product improvement
- Build relationships with local agricultural offices, development agents, and private sector partners
- Prepare weekly field reports and communicate market feedback to the management team
- Travel frequently to rural areas for product demonstrations and farmer support
- Support marketing campaigns and awareness activities in the assigned region
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Agronomy, Plant Science, Crop Production, Horticulture, or related field
- 0–2 years of experience in agricultural extension or agri-input sales
- Understanding of soil fertility, crop nutrition, and principles of organic agriculture
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on farmer engagement
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Fluent in Afaan Oromo and Amharic; working knowledge of English is a plus
- Strong commitment to sustainability, community service, and rural development
