Position: Junior Finance Officer
ATI is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Junior Finance Officer to support its regional finance operations. The role focuses on effective financial management, accurate record-keeping, and compliance with ATI’s policies and procedures.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare receipt vouchers, collect cash/cheques, and deposit into regional bank accounts.
- Ensure collections and payments follow ATI’s financial procedures using pre-numbered vouchers.
- Process payment sheets and effect payments upon proper authorization and documentation.
- Record daily transactions and perform account reconciliations.
- Maintain custody of financial documents, petty cash funds, and supporting files.
- Prepare VAT and WHT reports and issue receipts for government withheld taxes.
- Monitor office expenses, including utilities, rents, and service payments.
- Upload scanned financial documents into Agresso Finance for each registered voucher.
- Prepare weekly cash positions and maintain updated cash books.
- Support the Senior Finance Officer in daily finance operations and ensure compliance with ATI policies.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Education: BA degree in Accounting from a recognized university/college.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in finance roles such as Junior Finance Officer, Accountant, or Cashier.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of accounting software (QuickBooks, Peachtree, etc.) is an advantage.
- Language Skills: Strong command of written and spoken English and Amharic.
- Core Competencies: Cash management, reconciliation, attention to detail, and adherence to financial procedures.
