JOB POSITION & REQUIREMENTS

Position: Procurement & Logistic Officer
Job Requirements:
- B.A. Degree in logistics and supply chain Management, management, business management, accounting or related business fields with a minimum 2 years direct experience in similar position.
- Thorough knowledge of spoken and written English (MUST)
- Strong Microsoft office skills (MUST)
- Strong learning culture and positive attitude
- Critical thinking, commitment to production
- Cost Consciousness
- Self-initiator with high degree of self-management
- Strong communication in English language.
- Single window knowledge
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Research potential vendors
- Proforma collection as per the purchase plan and purchase request
- Compare and evaluate offers from Suppliers
- Prepare Purchase Order (PO) including necessary information on material/asset code, specification, quantity, price, delivery date, payment and vendor contact details.
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery
- Receive and inspect goods/services according to PO specifications and that all goods are in good condition. Ensure Good Delivery/Receiving Note (GRN) is issued and signed.
- Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices
- Prepare reports on Purchases, including cost analyses
- Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed
- Report periodically as specified by direct manager
Duty Station: Debre Zeit, Joytech Farm (near Debre Zeit new train station)
